Welcome to our Hackney Horse page, your one stop site for information about exceptional breeding stallions, young prospects available for purchase, and a brief history of this incredible breed. The horse shown above is one of our Hackney mares, High Hopes. She stands 15 hands and is 8 years old, and just beginning her show career as a carriage driving horse. She is shown in 8 ounce plates and no pads. Hope and the other Hackney Horses we have acquired, are the beginning of a long and lasting relationship with this beautiful and endangered breed. At left is another foundation Hackney horse mare, MH Chestnut Surprize after completing another successful jumping round.  The elegance and calmness shown here is remarkably typical of this breed.  To learn more about the history of the Hackney Horse, please click here.

This page is devoted to all of our Hackney Horses, with the exception of our breeding stallions, CELTIC WARRIOR (Imp. Wentworth Sylvester X Martin's Lady Melody) and, SW Show Stopper (Celtic Warrior X MH Chestnut Surprize. We have pictures and video of both stallions on their websites as well as of their get including our 1998 foal, SW Poetry In Motion (shown right and below) out of our Hackney Horse mare, MH Chestnut Surprize, and by the phenomenal Imp. Hallmandale Mister Canada, and our very exciting foal crops by Celtic Warrior and SW Show Stopper.  More baby pictures of our current foal crop can be seen on the Foal News Page. 

To facilitate the Hackney/Arabian cross, we have elected to nominate Celtic Warrior and SW Show Stopper into the Arabian Breeder's Sweepstakes Sire program.

Just to prove that the Hackney Horse is more than just a high stepper, we also show below MH Chestnut Surprize at her first rail show.  She is shown placing second in a large hunter hack class, and she has successfully jumped over 3 feet with just two weeks of event training.  She was also shown quite successfully at the prestigious Del Mar National Horse show, placing 6th (just 3/10 of a percentage behind a three way tie) with a solid score of 60% and is shown below at the CDS San Diego Chapter show where she earned second placings in both Training Level Test 1 and Test 2.  At 16+ hands, this substantial mare is getting noticed everywhere she goes.  Watch for her results on our "News" page to see her show career progress. 

While not exactly following in her mother's footsteps, our SW Poetry In Motion is growing up to be a show contender herself. We are proud to announce that this talented PB Hackney Horse filly was named RESERVE CHAMPION HACKNEY MARE at the prestigious Charity Fair Horse Show in Del Mar, California. She was the youngest in the class, and did her late father proud by taking all of the show hype and fuss in stride and turning on the motion for all the world to see. We look for a great future for this young filly in Park driving and under saddle classes!

Along with our incredible purebred Hackneys, we are very excited about our newest Arabian/Hackney crosses. Below are two  of our first, SW Kiss N Tell and SW Glory Days, both by our stallion Celtic Warrior and out of a Le Fire daughter. The black mare is already making big waves as an English Pleasure and Native Costume horse and her sister was named H/A Country Pleasure Jr. Horse Champion and ATR Champion (at age four) her first time out.
